Build Software

There is a lot of free software available for streaming. Much of it is available in GNU/Linux distributions or available in binary formats.

Building from source allows the user to use the latest versions of the software. It also allows the user to configure the software build to only include the components needed.

In this setup, the following applications are built from source:

• AJA PCI card kernel driver

• FFMPEG

• libdatachannel

• Media MTX

• Nvidia drivers

• OBS Studio
